辞書遊び

最近の OS X の辞書が充実しているって話。

僕は類語とかは使わないし、英和を使う段階でもないので、もっぱら OAD ですけど。学生には、OAD の孫引きしてなんていう課題を出してみましたが、やらない人はやらんだろうな。Kindle の辞書も悪くないし、いい時代になったものだ。

昔の辞書をめくるまどろっこさったらなかった。今から考えると、basic な数百を優先して覚えて、あとは辞書引かないってのが良かったとは思うけど。

発音してくれるのもうれしい。say -v '?' の選択肢には、

辞書で遊ぶってのは、小学生がやるものだと思うが、大学生になってからでも遅くはないだろう。

といいながら、Twitter の英語 account は、ほとんど使ってないな〜

英語だけできても意味ないけど、英語ができれば世界は広がります。ゲーム班でも、

「日本語でググるな、英語でググれ」

としつこく言ってます。
